That brings me to the second part of the business name - inspiration. To be inspired means to live in spirit. And isn't spirit everything! Without spirit what would we be? What would there be?
When I was younger I thought spirit referred to a ghost or demon. And before I rid myself of destructive behaviors and thinking I was living in a demonic way. I was afraid of everything. I was afraid of what happened yesterday, what was happening on that day and what tomorrow might bring. After hours, days, months and years of searching within my heart to find peace, I can now say that I live in spirit.
I live in the spirit of now. All we have is now. Yesterday is in the past, tomorrow isn't here yet therefore all we really have is today.
Every morning my goal is to start immediately with my grateful list. On some mornings it is something as simple as my toothpaste or my coffee cup. However once I start thinking about what I am grateful for my day begins to improve. No matter what problems I am facing in life - if I remain grateful those same problems shrink and don't seem so overwhelming. After my grateful list I try to do good deeds to as many people as I can. It can be as small as holding a door at the convenience store to offering to cover someones short change.
I do know that by practicing positive behavior, positive energy will come back to me. What you give out will come back to you. For every action is a reaction.
I am so thankful that my God made it possible for me to start my own Scentsy business. For a minimal investment I was able to claim another part of my spirit. I love sharing the opportunity, teaching the safety factors and helping everyone enliven their senses. And with the charitable causes that Scentsy supports I have another avenue of letting my spirit soar. I am so excited for my new business launch - we are going to rock! Peace to all and have a very safe weekend.
